Component Video, also known as YUV or Y/Pb/Pr, is the highest-quality analog video connection available on most devices which handle analog signals. Our component video cable sets are made using Belden's 1694A precision video coax, designed for the demands of serial digital video; its tight impedance tolerance, low return loss, and excellent braid-over-foil shielding make it ideal for component video applications. We terminate this cable with Canare's RCAP-C53 RCA connectors; these are true broadcast-quality RCA plugs, with a unique leaf-spring gripping mechanism for solid, but not overly-tight, engagement with equipment jacks.
We manufacture these assemblies in our shop in Seattle, Washington, and can produce them in any of a wide variety of configurations. We can cut to any length; we carry the cable in ten different colors; and we also stock Canare BNC connectors so that this can be done in an RCA/BNC or BNC/BNC configuration, as required. If you need a length, color or connector configuration other than the one shown here, see our Component Video Cable department.
