Unbalanced ("RCA") audio calls for a cable with a coaxial structure, but few coaxial cable stocks are really designed with the particular needs of unbalanced analog audio in mind. Our proprietary design, the LC-1 Audio Cable, addresses those specific needs. Its low capacitance fights high-frequency rolloff, while its dense double-braid bare copper shield provides extremely high shield effectiveness in the analog audio frequencies. Use of a foam dielectric and a soft PVC jacket allow this cable, despite its relatively large size, to be highly flexible for easy routing in most installations.
To this cable stock we crimp our Taversoe RCA connectors, a three-piece crimp design with a leaf spring to grip the jack securely without over-tightness or difficulty of insertion and removal. All of the jack-contact surfaces -- the center pin and the ground spring -- are gold-plated to resist corrosion.
Because we manufacture in Seattle, we are able to make this cable in any length you like, and we also offer it in white. If you need a length other than the one shown here, or prefer a white cable jacket, see our Stereo Audio Cable department.
